Asset Allocation Portfolio Return Calculator

A tool that combines investment, deposit, and savings items into one portfolio to calculate future balance, return on principal, and each item's final share.

How to use

Choose a common duration and display currency, then add investment, deposit, or installment items. Enter each item's contributions, returns, interest settings, and tax rate, then select ‘Calculate Portfolio’ to view the combined balance and projected share of each item.

What are a portfolio and asset allocation?

A portfolio is a collection of financial holdings, while asset allocation is the process of dividing money among them according to goals and risk. Viewing different types together helps reveal the overall structure that a single holding cannot show.

Calculation basis and formula

Investment items use their entered compound returns, while deposit and installment items use the selected interest and tax settings. Balances at the same point in time are added, and projected earnings are compared with total contributed principal to calculate the portfolio return on principal alongside each item's share of final value.

How to read shares and portfolio return

Return on principal compares total projected earnings with total contributed principal. Displayed shares are not target allocation weights; they are each item's projected share of the calculated final value and can change with different returns and contribution schedules.

What the calculation excludes

Currency conversion, correlations between assets, volatility, automatic rebalancing, taxes and fees for investment items, and inflation are not included. Interpret every item in the single currency selected on the screen.

Ways to use the result

Use the result to combine several saving and investment plans into one projected balance or inspect how much each item may represent later. Change an item's contribution or return assumption to explore its effect on the combined outcome.

Future Balance

Results are simulations and do not guarantee actual payments or investment returns. This service does not provide tax or investment advice.
